Aveda, The Art and Science of Pure Flower and Plant Essences, was founded in 1978 with the goal of providing high performance, botanically-based products that would be better for beauty professionals and their customers, as well as for the planet.

We share Aveda's mission to help clients not only look beautiful but feel beautiful.  Aveda believes that authentic beauty is one that works in harmony with the greater web of life. It does not qualify as beauty if it hurts any of the diverse life forms that the best beauty artist of all, Nature, created. Authentic beauty cares for the environment which we inherited from elders and will leave to generations that follow us. Beauty cares for the society in which we live, enhancing harmony in the way we live and interact with one another as human beings.

Inspired by plant-based healing traditions from around the world, Aveda spa and skincare philosophy, Elemental Nature, is grounded in the belief that everything in the universe (including the skin and the body) is composed of five elements; infinity (or space), air, fire, water and earth. When environmental and emotional factors such as stress, imbalance or toxicity cause these elements to shift out of balance, this can naturally affect our skin, body and emotions.

Aveda believes that in restoring balance to the five elements holistically, by engaging all five senses (sight, smell, sound, taste and touch) through pure aromas, plant-based products, nurturing high-touch treatments and unique sensory experiences.
